(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Wilmington College football team dropped their first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game of the year Saturday afternoon on the road at Capital University, 44-19. They now sit at 1-1 overall this season and have their first home game next week in Williams Stadium vs. Otterbein University.
For the second week in a row, Wilmington got off to a great start. This time the big play belonged to fifth year
Darryl Story, who returned the opening kickoff for 100 yards and a Quakers touchdown. This is Story's second kickoff return touchdown of his Quakers career and third return touchdown overall, also returning a punt last season for a touchdown. The extra point was blocked and the score sat at 6-0.
The Comets answered with touchdowns on four of their first five drives with no answer from Wilmington for a 28-6 lead that would later become 34-6 in the third quarter. The Quakers grabbed late touchdowns from

Cale Leitch to
Sammy Amnah 12 yard touchdown pass to make the final score 44-19.
