(GREENVILLE, Ill.) – The Wilmington College women's soccer team used three second half goals to fuel them to a 5-2 win at Greenville University Friday night. This win vaults them to a 3-0-1 overall record as they head to Webster University for a 7:00 PM game tomorrow.
The Quakers were all over the Panthers goal from the start, taking six shots over the first 15 minutes, with three being on goal. Sophomore
Delaney Benjamin got the scoring started for Wilmington in the 26th minute off an assist from senior
Macy Million.
Greenville quickly tied the game 1-1 in the 30th minute of action. Sophomore
Elyse Waggoner found an unassisted strike for the Quakers in the 42nd minute to give Wilmington a 2-1 halftime lead.
Wilmington broke it open within the first 15 minutes of the second half, getting unassisted goals from sophomore
Avery Minteer and fifth year
Jordan Snyder. Their final goal of the game was from freshman
Aidyn Danison off an assist from sophomore
Olivia Roye in the 73rd minute for a 5-2 win.
