(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – Just over a month away from the start of their 2026 season, Wilmington College women's soccer head coach Nick Kinder has announced that Aly Mapes will take over as the team's full time Assistant Coach.

Mapes has served the last two seasons as the Quakers Graduate Assistant Coach and graduated this spring from Wilmington with a master's in organizational leadership.

"Getting a full-time assistant is a massive step forward for the program as we look to continue building on our success from recent years" said Coach Kinder. "I am thrilled that Aly will be transitioning into this full-time role after finishing her graduate degree as she has been an integral part of our success that led to us winning the conference championship a year ago."

During her first two seasons on the Quakers coaching staff, Mapes helped guide the program to back-to-back conference tournament appearances, including the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season and tournament championships. Last season also led to Wilmington's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003. Over the past two years, the Quakers have compiled a 19-13-9 overall record and a 7-5-5 mark in OAC play.

Outside of her duties at Wilmington, Mapes has coached at the youth level for the past eight years and serves as the technical director for FC Dayton, a youth soccer club.
