(ALLIANCE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College softball team lost both games of their doubleheader at the University of Mount Union Friday afternoon, 9-1 in game one and 13-3 in game two.
Game 1 – Mount Union Defeats Wilmington, 9-1 (5 Innings)
The Quakers had chances throughout the first few innings to score some runs with runners in scoring position. They also had a runner get thrown out at home in the top of the fourth trying to score after an
Alasandra Spears double down the left field line.
They scored their run in the fifth inning on a
Kymberlin Masino double into right center field to score
Addysen Stevens, who singled to start the frame.

Game 2 – Mount Union Defeats Wilmington, 13-3 (5 Innings)
The Quakers scored a run in the second inning on an
Addysen Stevens walk to bring in
Audrey Gildea, who reached on an error earlier in the inning.
They scored their final runs of the game on an
Alaina Eldridge homerun to left field in the top of the third inning, scoring
Kymberlin Masino, who walked to start the frame.
