(BLUFFTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College softball team resumed their weather delayed game from Wednesday afternoon against Ohio Northern University today, where the two teams played at Bluffton University.
The game was picked back up in the bottom of the first inning with Ohio Northern leading 1-0. Wilmington went to work in the top of the second frame, scoring three runs for a 3-1 lead. The Quakers runs were brought in by a wild pitch,
Jobey Hattan single through the left side of the infield, and an
Alasandra Spears single into center field.
Their final run came in the top of the third inning on a
Maddie Starnes single into right field for a 4-1 lead. The Polar Bears scored once in the bottom of the sixth, but Wilmington shut the door from there for a 4-2 victory.
