(WILMORE, Ky.) - The Quakers split with the Eagles after a 6-run rally in the eighth and ninth innings to take game two 11-7.
Game 1 – 6-3 Loss to Asbury
J.C. Calhoun put the Quakers in a good spot, hitting a leadoff triple in the top of the 1st. A groundout by Braden Chambers drove in Calhoun. The Eagles answered with four runs off Michael Cibulskas. A leadoff double followed by a single and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases. Two errors brought in all four runs, giving the Eagles a 4-1 lead.
Brody Julian led off with a single in the top of the 5th, as Calhoun doubled, moving him to third. Chambers singled to center, plating both runners to cut the deficit to 4-3. After two outs, a single brought in Asbury's fifth run, pushing Cibulskas out for Liam Denehy. The lefty reliever got the final out, stranding two on base.
The Eagles extended their lead to 6-3 with an RBI double in the bottom of the 6th with Brent Case in relief. The Quakers had two men reach base in the top of the 7th, but were unable to rally, falling 6-3 in game one.

Game 2 – 11-7 Win over Asbury
The Eagles put up a four spot against Javier Serantes in the first inning, courtesy of a pair of two-run home runs. Dawson Blunt relieved the freshman to get the final out of the inning. A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly drew the Quakers within two runs, trailing 4-2 after three innings. Corey Moore conceded a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 4th, extending Asbury's lead to 5-2.
After a two-out walk and stolen base by Calhoun, JP Donelan singled him home to cut the deficit to 5-3. Down to two outs again, Caleb Fugate singled in Avery Battle and Chambers worked a base loaded walk to tie the game 5-5 int the top of the 6th. Bobby Fleming relieved Trent Mendenhall in the bottom of the 7th but allowed a two-out one run single, giving the Eagles a 6-5 advantage.
Three straight walks set Wilmington up for damage in the top of the 8th. With the bases loaded, Donelan walked to score Eli Hollingsworth to tie the game 6-6. Depa delivered with a bases clearing, three-run double to put the Quakers ahead 9-6. After a single by Hayden Koonce and a double by Hollingsworth, Ethan Bunce plated Wilmington's tenth run with a single. A groundout by Calhoun drove in another run, giving the Quakers an 11-6 lead. Asbury scored once in the bottom of the 9th, but Wilmington's rally proved too much as the green and white took game two 11-7.
