(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College baseball team began their season this afternoon at home on Tewksbury-Delaney Field. They dropped both games to The University of Olivet Comets, 3-0 and 10-4.
Game 1 – Olivet Defeats Wilmington, 3-0 (7 Innings)
Game one was dominated by Comets starter Bryan Carney, who threw a complete game while striking out 14 Quakers. Wilmington's best chances came in the first, third and fifth innings, where they had a runner on second base, but couldn't bring anyone around to score.

Game 2 – Olivet Defeats Wilmington, 10-4 (7 Innings)
The Quakers had three hits in the first inning but scored their first run of the day in the second on an
Ethan Bunce sacrifice fly for a 1-0 lead.
The damage was done in the top of the third inning by Olivet, scoring seven runs, with the help of a two out grand slam.
Wilmington used a pair of Comets errors and a
Max Gildea double to score two runs in the bottom of the fourth and cut the lead to 7-3.

Caleb Fugate double brought in the Quakers final run of the day in the bottom of the sixth.
