Jazz Johnson started the game emphatically for the Quakers, hitting a three pointer to put Wilmington ahead. Stephanie Altstaetter had a layup to cut the deficit to two points. Leading 7-5, the Yellow Jackets went on a 9-2 run over the Quakers. Baldwin Wallace's scoring continued, but Gabby Russell hit two three pointers and Ashton Harris had a jumper fall to keep Wilmington close as the first quarter closed 27-15.
The Yellow Jackets scored five straight points before Olivia Trusty nailed a three pointer for the green and white. The Quakers defense improved, holding Baldwin Wallace scoreless for nearly four full minutes. Altstaetter scored another layup to keep Wilmington close, but the hosts offense picked up steam. Leading 40-23, the Yellow Jackets closed out the first half on a 9-2 run to lead 49-25 heading into halftime.
Each team remained scoreless for nearly the first three minutes of the third quarter until the Yellow Jackets got onto the board. Wilmington broke through in the fifth minute when Olivia Trusty drained a three-pointer and then Gabby Russell followed up with her own three. Baldwin Wallace's offense took over, leading by 32 points until Ashton Harris closed out the quarter with a layup.
Altstaetter opened the final quarter of action with a layup and then Russell erupted for seven straight points from two layups and another three-pointer. Russell cut the deficit to 23 points, but Wilmington could not overcome Baldwin Wallace's offensive power.
