(BEREA, Ohio) - Wilmington's second half effort comes up just short against Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon, losing 75-63.

A jumper by Kellen Baltazar put Wilmington within two points, before Baldwin Wallace took over. Matt DeBrosse and Ben Golan each traded buckets between Yellow Jackets' baskets to trail by four.

Leading 23-17, the Yellow Jackets went on an 11-2 run to take a 34-19 lead with seven minutes left in the first half. A layup by Izaiah Cathey cut the deficit to 13 until the hosts went on a 5-0 run until Jed Smith had a layup. Elijah Cathey and Jed Smith fought to cut the deficit, with Smith hitting a three-pointer, but the Yellow Jackets took a 41-29 lead heading into halftime.

Trailing at the break, Wilmington came out rolling to open the second half. After an opening jumper from Baldwin Wallace, Domenic Farley started a 9-0 spree for the Quakers with a free throw. The Yellow Jackets answered right away with back-to-back threes to extend their lead to 11 points.

A layup by Carson Miles put Wilmington down ten with twelve minutes left. The Quakers and Yellow Jackets continued to trade points as the half came down to the final minutes. With eight minutes left Farley nailed a three-pointer and then hit two free throws, followed by a layup by Ben Golan to cut the Baldwin Wallace lead to 61-57. Baldwin Wallace answered with three free throws before hitting a three to take an eight-point lead.
