(ANDERSON, Ind.) – The Wilmington College women's swimming team returned to the pool Friday evening at Anderson University (Ind.). They dropped their dual with the Ravens, 133-52.
Senior
Sydney Overmyer led the way for the Quakers. She started her day with a win in the 200 Yard Freestyle, dusting the competition by almost 12 seconds in 2:12.65. She followed this with a second-place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke, touching the wall in 1:09.79.
She concluded her day with the fastest 50 Yard Freestyle time of the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, where the Quakers finished second at 2:05.57. Overmyer was the anchor leg and swam a 26.81. The Quakers team consisted of Riley McKeska,
Adisson Houdeshell,
Abbi Whitesell, and Overmyer.
Junior
Gabby Kuetemeyer won the 100 Yard Butterfly by over seven seconds in a time of 1:06.27 before taking third place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:17.18.
Junior
Alaina Reynek finished third in both her races tonight. She swam the 200 Yard Freestyle in 2:30.42 and the 500 Yard Freestyle in 6:35.22.
While also being a part of the second place 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team, sophomore
Adisson Houdeshell finished third in her lone individual event. She touched the wall in 1:10.18 during the 100 Yard Backstroke, just finishing behind her teammate Overmyer, who swam a time of 1:09.79.
