(DANVILLE, Ky.) - The Quakers were shut out on the road against the Colonels of Centre College Saturday afternoon.

Wilmington found themselves on the defensive early in the first half. The Colonels had four corner kicks in the first 15 minutes, along with 5 shots. In the 20th minute, Centre countered off the Wilmington attack, and Lily Burchett scored. Centre held onto their lead throughout the half and maintained possession.
The Colonels were on the offensive quickly in the second half, forcing 3 corner kicks within three minutes. Wilmington was unable to mount a response to the 1-0 deficit. The Quakers were stifled by the Colonels' defense, only having 5 shots and 2 on target. Centre took 23 shots, and 6 were on target. Emma Storck made 5 saves for Wilmington.Â
