Wilmington Shuts Out Earlham 3-0 in the Quaker Bowl

(RICHMOND, Ind.) - Wilmington's second-half offense propels Quakers to 3-0 victory over Earlham College in the Quaker Bowl. 

Wilmington came out on the offensive early. Alex Wilson took two shots in the first three minutes and Madison VanSuch also had a shot in the 6th minute. Earlham countered on its own offensive possessions but Wilmington was in control of the first half. Wilmington took 14 shots and 4 on target to Earlham's 4 shots and only 2 were on goal. 

Once again the Quakers were on the attack to start the second half. It took Wilmington until the 62nd minute to finally break through Earlham's defense. Alex Wilson scored a shot in the bottom right corner on an assist from Gracie King. Less than four minutes later, Jordan Snyder scored in the 66th minute on an assist from Wilson. Just two minutes later, Emily Stall scored in the 68th minute to give Wilmington a 3-0 lead. Brooke Elliott replaced Emma Storck in the 73rd minute and closed out the rest of the game in her Wilmington debut to secure the shutout.

  • Storck earned her second shutout of the year, combined with Elliott's first. 

  • Wilmington took 6 corners to Earlham's 3.
