Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Quakers Battle Westminster to 0-0 Draw Friday Night

(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) – The Wilmington College women's soccer team battled the Westminster College Titans Friday night to a scoreless draw. This pushes Wilmington's overall record this season to 2-2-2.

Neither team put a shot on goal until the 18th minute, where senior Jordan Snyder forced a Titans save in the bottom right of the net. This was the only shot on goal during the first half, but the Quakers dominated with 10 shots to just two for Westminster.

Junior Emma Storck made her first save of the game in the 48th minute in the bottom center of the goal. Storck made another save in the 49th minute before junior MJ Little forced a save in the 53rd minute of the contest. Both teams continued to trade saves, but neither could find the back of the net.

Wilmington's final shot on goal came in the 80th minute from Little. The Quakers avoided disaster in the final minute of the contest as the Titans sent a through ball right to the top of the box. However, Storck showed why she was the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Defensive Player of the Week, meeting the player at the ball and colliding to make the save and preserve the draw.
