Jazmyne Smith enters her first year as Assistant Softball Coach at Wilmington College ahead of the 2026 season. Smith joins the Quakers with a strong playing background and knowledge of NCAA Division III. Her role will primarily focus on the infielders, along with hitters. She will also assist in recruiting regionally and expanding towards the east coast.
"I am thrilled to have Jazmyne join our staff. She brings with her the experience of a successful playing career in one of the country's top Division III softball conferences," says Quakers Head Softball Coach
Megan Warren. "I'm excited for her to share her experiences and knowledge with our players and believe she will be a difference maker in our performance as a team."
Smith, a native of Amherst, Virginia, attended Bridgewater College, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education, along with Coaching in 2025. At Bridgewater, Smith played Softball for five seasons, appearing in 159 games and starting in 153. She earned Second Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in her sophomore year, First Team All-ODAC at first base in her senior year, and First Team All-ODAC in her fifth year.
Smith slugged 21 home runs across her five seasons, leaving her tied for fifth all-time for Bridgewater. In this position, Smith participated in staff and coaching meetings to outline and prepare for team planning, taking statistics and charting plays throughout the season to enhance player development. She was also responsible for planning and budgeting for events, including fundraisers and team bonding. As a student, she served as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) President, representing the rest of the Eagles student-athletes.
