(ALLIANCE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's volleyball team dropped their first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest of the season Saturday afternoon to the University of Mount Union Purple Raiders, 3-1.

Emelia Mohler both had two kills during this stretch of play. Wilmington held a 22-18 advantage, but Mount Union made it interesting, cutting the lead to one at 24-23. A
Brinlee Preston kill saved the set win for the Quakers and put them up 1-0.
The Purple Raiders handled Wilmington in set two 25-18 to tie it at 1-1. The third set saw Mount Union go ahead by several points, but the Quakers fought back every time. After trailing 18-12, they pushed the set to 19-17 after a 4-0 run led by four kills from four different players. Wilmington couldn't complete the comeback though and went behind 2-1. The Purple Raiders beat the Quakers 25-18 in the final set to win 3-1.

- Freshman Lydia Bridenbaugh recorded her first career match with 10 or more kills, finishing with 14.
- Junior Emelia Mohler had 13 kills, her third match this season in double-digits.
- Junior Logan McQuillin had 26 digs, her second match this season with 20 or more and sixth match in double-digits.
- Senior Kyra Frasier had her third double-double of the season with 23 assists and 11 digs while sophomore Emma Specht dished out 19 assists.
