(HANOVER, Ind.) - On the road against Hanover College, the Quakers were shut out by the Panthers 6-0.
The Panthers were propelled by an early attack, scoring in just the 4th minute on a goal from Izzy Phillips in the top right corner. Down early, the Quakers pushed forward on the attack with a shot by Alex Wilson, which missed high over the net. Each team traded shots sporadically throughout the first half until Hanover scored again on a Sydney Elliott goal in the 42nd minute.
Leading 2-0 coming out of halftime, the Panthers pounced relentlessly on the Quakers. In the 53rd minute, Kaleigh Schirmer found the top left corner pushing Hanover ahead 3-0. The Panthers barrage continued as they scored two goals within five minutes. Ginny Young scored in the 63rd minute, and so did Cam Horsley in the 67th minute on a penalty kick. Leading 5-0, Hanover scored one more goal in the 80th minute from Grace Caroline Linam to secure a 6-0 victory for the Panthers.
Gracie King led the team with three shots, two on goal. Jaice Neumaier also took two shots on goal. Alex Wilson had two shots, one on target.
