(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) – The Wilmington College baseball team lost to the Wittenberg University Tigers Tuesday night on the road, 10-2. Wittenberg took a 3-0 lead after the first inning and never looked back in their victory.
The Quakers scored a pair of runs in the top of the second. The first two batters reached via a walk and error to put runners on the corners with nobody out. The first run came in on a wild pitch before
Hayden Koonce brought in their second run on an RBI groundout.
Wilmington had runners in scoring position in the final four innings, including runners at third in the seventh and ninth frames, but couldn't scratch across any more runs.
