Baseball Falters in Doubleheader Against Baldwin Wallace Saturday

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College baseball team lost a pair of games Saturday afternoon against Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) foe Baldwin Wallace University at home, 17-2 and 11-1.

Game One – Baldwin Wallace defeats Wilmington, 17-2
The Quakers had a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the second after Kyle Jennings was hit by a pitch and moved over after Ethan Bunce was hit by a pitch. They had runners on first and second with no one out in the bottom of the seventh, but a strikeout and a pair of fielder's choices ended the inning.

Wilmington put a pair of runs on the board in the final frame. Dominic Depa singled to start the inning before Ethan Hagan doubled over the left fielder's head to put runners at second and third base. A Ryland Kellenbarger single into center field scored Depa and a Dylan Montgomery fielder's choice scored the Quakers final run of the game.

Game One Notables Game Two – Baldwin Wallace defeats Wilmington, 11-1

Wilmington had runners in scoring position in the bottom of the first and bottom of the third innings. In the first, an error helped get a runner to second base. A Braden Chambers single and stolen base put him at second base in the bottom of the third inning.

Their lone run came in the bottom of the sixth after a pair of doubles from JP Donelan and Dominic Depa scored Donelan to make it 7-1.
