(ADRIAN, Mich.) - Wilmington dominates Adrian 97-74 behind Elijah Cathey's 27 point effort.
The Quakers erupted for a 15-3 run to open the first half in the opening four minutes. Izaiah Cathey slammed one home along with three pointers from Zach McGuirt and two from Matt DeBrosse. Adrian recouped to trail 23-13 before Elijah Cathey had a bucket and Carson Miles drained a three to extend the Quakers' lead to 28-13.
With seven minutes to go, the Bulldogs climbed back within eight points of Wilmington. A pair of layups by DeBrosse and Izaiah Cathey along with another three from McGuirt to push the Quakers' lead to 42-27. Elijah Cathey drained a three with two minutes and as the clock expired, sank a jumper to send the Quakers into the break leading 53-36.
Elijah Cathey opened the second half with another three pointer for Wilmington as the offense continued their dominance. The Cathey twins combined for seven points with Izaiah scoring four and Elijah nailing another three to put the Quakers ahead 65-47. Gabe Green then went on an eight-point run on his own with two and ones pushing Wilmington's lead up 20 points, 73-51.
With seven minutes remaining, Kellen Baltazar and Carson Miles each scored layups to increase the Quakers' lead to 90-62. Wilmington closed the half strong, defeating Adrian 97-74.
