Box Score (BETHANY, W.Va.) - Wilmington's monstrous 70-point second half propelled them past the Bison on the road 109-101 on Tuesday night.
The Bison took an early 8-2 lead over the Quakers to open the first half. Domenic Farley scored five straight points, knocking down a three and making a layup to put Wilmington within two points, 11-9. Elijah Cathey hit a jumper to make it 13-11, but Bethany responded with a three pointer of their own. The Bison went on a 7-0 run to take a 21-11 lead with 12 minutes left.
The Quakers trailed by 14 with 10 minutes to go, but Farley hit a turnaround jumper, and Izaiah Cathey made a layup and hit a free throw to put Wilmington within nine points. Ben Golan scored four straight points to keep the Quakers trailing by nine, 32-23. After a Farley jump shot, Elijah Cathey nailed a three and Golan hit another jumper to cut the deficit to five points with five minutes to go. Farley hit a floater to cut the Bison's lead to 38-35. Bethany ended the first half on a 6-2 run to take a 48-39 lead heading into the half. Farley scored 15 points, and Izaiah Cathey had 14 points in the first half.
Wilmington shot out of the halftime break, going on a 6-0 run featuring baskets by the Cathey twins. Farley sank another floater, putting Wilmington within two four minutes into the second half. The Quakers' offensive run continued. Farley, shooting lights out, drained a three and then Ben Golan took over with a dunk, layup, and a three-pointer followed by a layup by Matt DeBrosse to put Wilmington ahead 63-54.
Bethany pushed back, cutting the deficit to four with 13 minutes remaining. Farley hit another three and Zach McGuirt scored a layup followed by another basket by Farley to give the Quakers a 70-59 lead quickly. After two free throws from Izaiah Cathey, Farley scored his 30th point of the night with another three pointer. Wilmington continued their hot streak as DeBrosse hit two free throws and then a three pointer 30 seconds apart to take an 84-68 lead for the Quakers.
Izaiah Cathey nailed a turnaround jumper to put Wilmington past the century mark, leading 100-89. The Quakers' incredible second half performance put them on top over the Bison 109-101.

Caleb Farley led Wilmington with 33 points. He shot 13-20 from the field, 50% from three, and added four rebounds, three assists, and a steal. His 33 points are a career high, and he is the first Quaker to score 30 plus points in a game since February 12th, 2019, in the 2019-2020 season at home against Muskingum.

Izaiah Cathey scored 20 points, shooting 6-9 from the field and 8-11 from the charity stripe. He added four rebounds, a block, and an assist.
