(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Wilmington falls to Muskingum 3-0 on Wednesday night.
The Quakers found themselves trailing 14-2 in the first set. A pair of kills from Brinlee Preston and Sarah Brown put Wilmington down 23-9. The Quakers lost the first set 25-12.
In the second set, Wilmington was down 6-1 early until the Quakers went on a 5-0 run to tie the set 6-6. Muskingum and Wilmington fought for the lead, and the two were tied 14-14. The Fighting Muskies were able to pull away, leading 20-16. Ally Truman had a kill to make it 24-20 but Muskingum closed the set winning 25-20.
The Fighting Muskies once again took an early lead 6-0. Trailing 12-4, the Quakers mounted a 4-0 run to cut the lead to 12-8. Muskingum pulled away, leading by 10, 22-12 as they closed out the match, winning the third set 25-14.
