(TIFFIN, Ohio) - The Wilmington College men's soccer team defeated the Heidelberg University Student Princes Saturday night on the road, 2-1, to start off their Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) schedule, 1-0. The Quakers improve to 8-2-2 overall this season.

After four shots with one on goal up to the 35th minute, the Quakers found the back of the net. A foul in the box and ensuing Student Princes yellow card allowed a penalty kick opportunity for the Quakers in which senior

Wilmington struck early in the second half in the 49th minute. The Quakers worked their way up from midfield before finding junior
Jordan Domoe, who found sophomore
Parker Burke. Burke worked around his defender and sent a rocket from his left foot into the back of the net for the 2-0 advantage.

The Student Princes cut the lead to one in the 55th minute, but it wasn't enough as Wilmington went on to win. The final shot of the game from Heidelberg came in the 81st minute as the Quakers played solid defense for the entirety of the contest.
