Quakers Draw With Cardinals 0-0

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) - Wilmington drew 0-0 on the road against Otterbein on Wednesday night. 

Both the Quakers and Cardinals were on the attack early in the first half. Alex Wilson took a shot on target, but the goalkeeper saved it in the 3rd minute. The Cardinals countered and forced Emma Storck to make a save in the 9th minute. Wilmington was able to remain on the offensive with multiple shots by Emily Stall and Jordan Snyder but could not find beat the keeper. 

Otterbein rebounded and was able to force consecutive corner kicks in the 34th and 35th minute but could not score. Snyder had a chance in the 45th minute, but her shot was saved once again.  

The Cardinals had an early corner kick in the second half but did not score. Alex Wilson and Jaice Neumaier both took shots off target within a minute of each other. Otterbein answered with their own barrage of shots but Storck took care of the threat. Each team had their own chances, but the best opportunities came late. In the 83rd minute MJ Little had her shot saved by the goalkeeper and in the 84th minute Storck made another save as the match ended 0-0. 
 

Notables 

  • Wilmington took 10 shots, four on target. Otterbein took 11 shots, four on goal. 

  • The Quakers were scoreless for the first time since September 13 against Saint Vincent College.
