Burke Nets Two in Two Goal Win Over Anderson

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Parker Burke nets two goals off four shots for the Quakers to maintain a 3-1 win over Anderson University Tuesday night in Wilmington.

After a quiet, but fierce, 0-0 first half, Burke nets it in off a corner kick by Jace Houck in the 4th minute of the second half. And then about two minutes later, Randy Harris breaks free of the Anderson defense to bury it in the back of the net, past a diving Braydon Kennedy. Burke nets his second goal in the 86th minute off a Randy Harris assist, placed perfectly for a running Burke to bury it past Kennedy.

Anderson had their lone goal off a Jordan Bossman empty netter, passing an aggressive Oliver Metz. Dalton Grubbs played a pass perfectly to a cutting Bossman, Metz went to play it and the ball escaped his hands and went right to Bossman's feet, and with nobody between him and the goal, Bossman cut the lead in half 2-1 in the 76th minute.

Aside from Bossman goal, Metz made 5 saves of Anderson shots. Alfie Harris had two shots, including an impressive header in the first half off a corner.
