(DANVILLE, Ky.) – The Wilmington College men's soccer team was tied with the Spalding University Golden Eagles, 3-3, Friday night in the 58th minute. A 60th minute tally gave the Quakers a lead they would never relinquish en route to their third victory of the season and a 3-0-1 overall record. Five different players scored, as
Jordan Domoe netted a pair of goals for Wilmington.
The Quakers were all over the Spalding keeper from the jump in this contest, taking four shots before
Alfie Harris, off a great pass from
Parker Burke, found the back of the net in the 14th minute to make the score 1-0. This was Harris's first goal since the 2022 season.
Before the end of the first half,
Jackson Beske and
Jordan Domoe would both find the back of the goal for Wilmington, as they held a 3-2 advantage at the half. Beske was assisted by
Logan Kent for the first goal of his season, while Domoe scored for the first time in his collegiate career.
After the game was tied 3-3, Wilmington shut the door on the Golden Eagles quickly.
Aidan Barnishin scored in the 60th minute, with an assist from
Parker Burke, before just a minute later in the 61st, Domoe found the net once again for a 5-3 advantage. Burke put the cherry on top of the victory with a tally of his own in the 89th minute to seal the 6-3 win.
