(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Senior
Josie Crabtree had twelve kills in the Quakers 3-0 loss to Anderson University (Ind). tonight at Fred Raizk Arena in Hermann Court. Senior
Andie Dolven netted another 26 assists in the match.Â
During the first set, Wilmington struggled out the gate, despite being tied at 6-6 early in the set. The Ravens rattled off nine of the next ten points, creating a 15-8 separation before the Quakers had another lengthy service rally. However, in that service rally
Logan McQuillin had two aces, getting the score back to 15-13, but the Ravens gained enough separation to get to 20-14, before concluding the first set at 25-16.
The second set was a back and forth affair throughout, but following back-to-back aces by Paige Ricica, started by a
Brinlee Preston kill at 20-15, the Quakers got the next three points to get it to 20-18, but Anderson kept the Quakers at arm's length, closing it out at 25-20.
The third set started out with a 6-0 Quakers lead off a Dolven service rally, but the Quakers let the Ravens come back in bite size rallies until the Ravens closed out the match, 25-20.
