(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College football team lost their home opener at Williams Stadium Saturday afternoon, 42-7 to the visiting Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets. The Quakers struggled offensively in the contest, gaining 219 yards of total offense, with 162 passing yards and 57 rushing yards. Wilmington drops to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
Wilmington hung tough with the Yellow Jackets in the first half, allowing just 14 points and heading into the break trailing 14-0. The Quakers had two drives in the first half where they got into Yellow Jackets territory, but one resulted in a fumble and the other saw the Quakers turn it over on downs at the Baldwin Wallace 29-yard line.
