(ATLANTA, Ga.) -Â A two-match morning nets some highlights; however, the Quakers fell in both matches, 5 to Pfeiffer University and 4 to host Oglethorpe.
The early match versus Pfeiffer, the Quakers sprinted out to a two-set lead, taking the first set 25-19 and 25-21, but dropped the final two 25-18, 25-19, before a back-and-forth tiebreaker set went to Pfeiffer 15-13.
Sarah Brown, Bailiegh Rieder, and
Emelia Mohler netted double-digit kills, 12, 12, and 11, respectively.
Andie Dolven continued her chase with a team-high 25 assists, and
Kyra Frasier netted 17 assists.
Corissa Oeder had 26 digs, with
Logan McQuillin and
Josie Crabtree with 10 each.
Brinlee Preston earned a team high 3 aces.
The second match against host Oglethorpe was far less dramatic. Wilmington took the opening set 25-16 before dropping the next three 25-14, 25-17, and 25-17.
Oeder netted 17 digs with McQullin getting 10 of her own.
Dolven collected 18 assists and
Josie Crabtree led the team with 9 kills.
What's Up Next
The Quakers head to North Manchester, Ind. for a tri-match with Kalamazoo College and Manchester University on Saturday September 7 at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. respectively, before their home opener on Tuesday September 10 versus Kenyon College.
