(MARIETTA, Ohio) Elijah Cathey scored 15 points and Obed Achirem scored 14 to lead the Quakers in a 71-57 loss to the Marietta Pioneers on Saturday in Marietta.

Rashid Chisholm and Achirem each pulled down six rebounds to lead Wilmington. Domenic Farley tallied three steals.

After trailing 11-2 in the first four minutes, the Quakers battled back in the early parts of the first half to take their only lead with 8:30 off an Achirem layup at 20-19.

The Quakers would go into half trailing 34-25 after allowing the Pioneers an 8-0 run across two minutes in the latter part of the first half.

The Quakers will be home on Saturday December 14 welcoming the Mount Union Purple Raiders as part of doubleheader action. The women's game starts at 1:00, the men's game will start approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's game.
