(NEW CONCORD, Ohio) Gabby Russell and
Olivia Trusty tally career highs, each scoring nine points, in a 75-61 Quaker loss to Muskingum on Wednesday evening.
The Quakers did have a even scoring performance across the board, with
Sierra McCoin, Ki Walker and
Bailey Eddleman scoring 8 points each, a career-high for Eddleman.
Stephanie Altstaetter grabbed seven boards to lead the Quakers. The Quakers did not shoot well beyond the arc, their 4-25 tally netting the second lowest 3-point percentage of the season at 16%, while letting the Muskies double them up, going for 32% from beyond the arc.
Kenzie Bicking led all scorers with 12 points, scoring all from beyond the arc. Tori Jones and Claudia Harrington scored in double figures for the Muskies.
The Quakers did have an early lead in the game, but after the 4:26 mark, didn't lead for the rest of the game, watching Muskingum build a 15-4 run to close the opening quarter.
Wilmington did break out in the second to bring the score to 24-20, before watching Muskingum rattle off a 10-0 run.
The game did stay relatively close to the same until the fourth quarter when the Muskies went on a 13-0 run to take a nine-point lead to a 22-point lead.
The Quakers travel to Marietta to take on the Pioneers at Ban Johnson Arena, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
