(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's basketball team hosted the Calvin University Knights Saturday afternoon in Hermann Court for their final non-conference game of the season. They battled hard, but fell to Calvin, 84-61 and drop to 2-8 overall this season. The Quakers are back in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action on January 4th against John Carroll University.
The two teams began the game neck and neck, with the score tied at 9-9 after nearly four minutes of action. Sophomore
Ben Golan had four of the nine points for the Quakers. The Knights then stormed past Wilmington with a 10-0 flurry to grab a 19-9 advantage with 11:15 remaining in the first half. Calvin's lead grew to as many as 17 points before they went into the locker room leading the Quakers, 41-30.
To start the second half, the Quakers cut the lead to eight on a pair of occasions but couldn't get any closer. With the lead at 58-49 in favor of the Knights, Calvin used a 22-7 run to go ahead 80-56, as they would go on to pick up the victory.

- Junior Elijah Cathey led the Quakers with 14 points, which is his second game of the season with double digit points.
- Senior Rashid Chisholm scored 13 points on 5-9 shooting, giving him eight games this season where he scored in double-digits.
- Junior Grant Welsch grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
- Six Quakers tied for the team-lead with one assist.
- Senior Gavin Heimlich blocked a game-high two shots.
- Heimlich, Ben Golan, and Cathey all had one steal in the game.
- The Quakers made a season-high 19 free throws and tied a season-high with 24 free throw attempts.
- Wilmington out rebounded Calvin 41-36 and had 27 bench points to their 23.
