(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) -Â Sierra McCoin tied the Quakers program record with seven three-pointers, scoring 22 points to lead four Quakers in double-digit scoring, including a double-double performance by
Stephanie Altstaetter with 18 points and 10 rebounds in an 86-55 win over Asbury University at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. on Thursday afternoon.
ZahKyria Walker tallied 14 points and
Gabby Russell tallied 13 points for the Quakers to help pace the scoring.
The Quakers were working it behind the arc with McCoin going 7-11 from three. The seven made three-pointers is McCoin's career high.
ZahKyria Walker scored 14 and
Gabby Russell scored 13 to round out the double-digit scoring for the Quakers.
The Quakers led nearly the entire game, only trailing in the second minute after a Camryn Preston free throw, taking the lead on an Altstaetter layup from Russell.
The Quakers won every quarter by margins of 12, 7, 6, and 6.
Wilmington will be taking a break for the holidays, returning to action at John Carroll University on January 4 at 1:00 p.m.
