Wilmington had another chance to score at the beginning of the fourth quarter at the Marietta 10, but a costly penalty pushed Wilmington back and they couldn't recover before Bucksath missed a 35-yard field goal attempt off the left upright. The Quakers final drive saw them get the ball to the Pioneers 13-yard line before fumbling and not being able to recover it.
