(NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind.) – The Wilmington College men's swimming team lost their dual Saturday afternoon on the road to the Manchester University Spartans, 155-69. This drops the Quakers to 1-5 overall this season in duals.
The men got off to a good start as
John Good,
Adam Moneypenny,
Sondre Haugen, and
Jo Pedersen won the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:41.80. Senior
Austin Reed followed this with a win in the 200 Yard Freestyle at 1:52.58. Junior
John Good was second in the 50 Yard Freestyle, touching the wall in 22.54, losing by a hair as the winner finished in 22.34.
Pedersen won his 200 Yard IM by over six seconds at 2:03.07, before Haugen won by over six seconds in the 100 Yard Butterfly at 52.17. Reed took second in the 100 Yard Freestyle at 50.43, just losing out to Peter Kotlin, who touched the wall in 50.35 seconds. Good was second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 57.00 seconds.
Moneypenny grabbed third place in the 500 Yard Freestyle, touching the wall in 5:42.13. Haugen, Moneypenny, Reed, and Pedersen won the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay to end the Quakers day with a time of 3:22.27, winning by over nine seconds.
