(WILMINGTON, Ohio) -
Sierra McCoin nailed a halftime mid court buzzer beater as the Wilmington College Quakers women's basketball team kept the Quaker Bowl in Wilmington for another year, with their ninth straight win over Earlham College, 83-45 on Thursday night.
The last time the Quaker Bowl was lost by Wilmington was in 2013. Since 2014, Wilmington has won every matchup with Earlham, this one being the biggest win over them during the win streak, second all time behind the 1990 matchup that saw Wilmington prevail 102-64, according to our records.
ZahKyria Walker led the charge for the Quakers with 18 points and eight rebounds. McCoin went 5-10 from beyond the arc, scoring all 15 of her points from outside.
Stephanie Altstaetter had 13 points and five rebounds of her own.
Cassidy Lovett had nine points and six rebounds, but tallied four assists to lead the team.
Olivia Trusty netted four steals, three assists, and six points.
