Furious Comeback Falls Just Short as Women's Soccer is Defeated at Ohio Northern

(ADA, Ohio) - The Wilmington College women's soccer team fell 3-2 to the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears on Wednesday evening. 

Alyssa Becket scored the first goal of the match in the 34th minute, assisted by Jill Roberts, to give ONU a 1-0 halftime lead. Becket would score again after the half to give ONU a 2-0 lead. Rileigh Glassburn scored late in the second half to give ONU a 3-0 lead. Wilmington never stopped fighting and Grace Kingery scored an unassisted goal in the 89th minute. 30 seconds later Wilmington scored again on an Emily Stall goal, assisted by Gabby Perkins. ONU would go on to win by a final score of 3-2.
