(UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's soccer team lost their matchup on the road to the John Carroll University Blue Streaks Saturday afternoon, 2-1. The Quakers took 19 shots in the contest with four on goal but could only put one into the back of the net.
The Blue Streaks scored in the eighth and 64th minutes of the game. Wilmington took 11 shots in the first half and eight shots in the second half.
MJ Little scored on an unassisted strike in the 88th minute after a free kick from the Blue Streaks. She took control of the ball from about 15 yards out and sent a shot that the keeper couldn't handle as it went into the back of the net. Wilmington wouldn't take another shot in the contest.
The Quakers are now 6-5-5 overall this season and 2-2-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
