(BEREA, Ohio) - Sarah Brown tallies ten kills and five blocks for the Wilmington Quakers in a four-set loss to the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets in Berea, Ohio on Saturday.
Josie Crabtree tallied nine kills, along with
Andie Dolven scoring two aces, 18 assists and nine digs.
Logan McQuillin had 13 digs.
The Quakers fell in the first set 25-5, before coming back to win the second set 26-24. The Quakers made a fight to get the third set to 25-14, having fallen behind as far as 17-7, 20-10, and 23-11.
In the final set, Wilmington kept it close throughout, until the end when they fell 25-20.
In that second set victory, Baldwin Wallace jumped out to a 10-3 lead and held through 23-17.
After a Crabtree kill to make the score 23-18, Dolven gets the serve, scoring an ace, a kill, and an assist on one of Brown's 10 kills, and two attack errors to bring the score to 23-23.
One Crabtree attack error later, sets up a set point for Baldwin Wallace, but Brown gets another kill to tie the score back at 24. A bad set and a kill blocked by Brown and
Zoe Smith closes out a 26-24 Quaker win in the second set.
What's Up Next
The Quakers will be hosting senior night on Wednesday night against Capital. Match will begin close to 7:00.
