(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Wilmington stared at a 2-0 and 3-2 deficit before getting two more goals to net a 4-3 win against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets in Wilmington on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to goals by Cimi Halilaj in the ninth and 52nd minutes.
Kaden Young put one past Baldwin Wallace Goalkeeper Seth Warrick in the 62nd minute off a free kick, and then
Randy Harris pokes one past Warrick after a pass from
Parker Burke just 90 seconds later.
After Carter Stanaczyk heads one past
Oliver Metz after Metz made a safe off the initial shot after a corner, to give the Yellow Jackets a 3-2 lead, in the 71st minute.
But just two minutes later, after receiving the corner kick from
Jace Houck, Harris heads it to
Jordan Domoe to put it in to tie the match at 3.
But a record was waiting to be made after Harris puts it into
Parker Burke, Burke then shakes past a couple of defenders to put a goal to give the Quakers their first lead 4-3 in the 82nd minute. That was Burke's 20th goal of the season, tying Peter Nilsson's 27-year-old NCAA-Era Wilmington record, and placing him two behind Steve Spirk for the program's all-time record in goals in a season.
