Coach O'Brien on Sydney: Sydney has been our energy athlete for the past two seasons.  She brings excitement and passion for the game day in and day out.

PERSONAL: Sydney Lynn Smith was born January 24, 1997, the daughter of Judy Smith ... has two siblings, Hannah Smith and Brandon Hilliard ... earned three letter at Dayton Christian.

MAJOR: Sport Management

FRESHMAN SEASON (2015): Moved to outside hitter and became a force at the net, despite standing 5-8 ... was third on the team with 18 blocks.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016): Appeared in 24 matches ... recorded career-high 16 digs against Albion (9/30).
