Biography

PERSONAL: Joseph "Joe" Weikel was born June 8, 2001...the son of Scott & Jamie Weikel...three-year starter for Head COach Kyle Prosser at Oak Hills.

MAJOR: Exercise Science

Freshman Season (2021 SPRING): 

Appeared in four games in a season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic...tallied five tackles and grabbed one interception.

Sophomore Season (2021 FALL): 

Appeared in 8 games...tallied 19 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Junior Season (2022): 

Started all 10 contests as a junior member of the Quakers' linebacking core...finished third on the team in tackles with 56 and led the squad in sacks with 4.5...intercepted a pass at Marietta College on Oct. 15...a pass forced one fumble against Muskingum University on Nov. 5.

Senior Season (2023):

Appeared in all 10 games for the Quakers…Led the team with 6.5 tackles for loss…Third on the team with 64 total tackles, 33 tackle assists, 31 solo tackles, and 1.5 sacks…Tied for third on the team with one pass breakup…Had 11 or more total tackles in three games.
