Aaron Pobiak enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Wilmington College in 2022. He will serve as co-special teams coordinator, defensive pass game coordinator, safeties coach and strength coach.

Pobiak comes to Wilmington from South Carolina where we worked at DW Daniel High School for the previous three seasons. Serving as wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator, he aided DW Daniel to a 35-1 record over three season culminating in consecutive state championships. Pobiak developed three all-state wide receivers, two of which finished the year in the top ten in both receiving yards and touchdowns. He also worked as a high school teacher at DW Daniel.

Prior to his stint in South Carolina, Pobiak spent a season at Hiram College has defensive pass game coordinator coaching defensive backs. The Terriors' secondary went from last in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) to fifth during his season on staff. Additionally, multiple defensive backs garnered All-NCAC honors. He also spent a season at Independence Junior College in Kansas where the school enjoyed a winning season in 2016 for the first time in two decades. 

Pobiak graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2015 with a degree in exercise science, health science and phsyical education. He's currently pursuing a master's degree in athletic administration from Tusculum University.
