PERSONAL: Matthew Earl Oney was born June 30, 1996, the son of Earl and Angela Oney...has two siblings, Ashley and Emily...earned two varsity letters at Carlisle High School...went 8-3 in career with 50 strikeouts over 74.2 innings...Second Team Southwestern Buckeye League selection as a senior.

MAJOR: History

FRESHMAN SEASON (2017): Appeared in 12 games while making 10 starts...carried a 5.94 ERA in a team-high 53 innings pitched...team-high three wins to go along with 14 strikeouts...earned first collegiate win at Mount St. Joseph on March 4.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018): Appeared in 8 games while starting 4 games...carried a 7.23 ERA with 9 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.

JUNIOR SEASON (2019): Made 14 appearances out of the bullpen...pitched 22.2 innings and finished as one of three Fightin' Quakers to have an ERA under five (4.76)...struck out 10 batters.
