Four Top-20 Finishers Lead Men's Cross Country to Second Place at Quaker Opener

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's cross country team finished their home opening race of the season in 2nd place with a score of 61. The race was two miles and got pushed back due to extreme heat.

Leading the Quakers was sophomore Neka Bukasa in his first cross country season for the Quakers after competing during the track & field seasons last year. He finished the race in a time of 10:17.4.

Rounding out the Top-20 performers for Wilmington were sophomore Simeon Williamson in 12th at 10:31.0, freshman Samuel Quackenbush in 10:41.5 for 15th place and sophomore Braydon Buchanan in 20th with a time of 10:51.7. Wilmington's final scorer was junior Keegan Kidd in 11:05.4.

The Quakers head to Franklin College for the Grizzly Invite on September 5th, with the race set for 10:00 A.M.
