(LORAIN, Ohio) The Wilmington College Men's Cross Country team finished seventh at the OAC Cross-Country Championships in Lorain County Saturday morning, collecting several personal bests and showing their development across the entirety of the 8-kilometer course.
Leading the Quakers across the line once again was freshman
Neka Bukasa, who ran a time of 26:35 for 33rd place. Just behind him was sophomore Braydon Buchannan, who ran 26:39, a personal best of nearly thirty full seconds and an improvement of almost two minutes from last year's OAC championships.
In third for the Quakers for the first time this season was sophomore
Simeon Williamson, who ran a personal best of 27:00, finishing 53rd and pushing out a personal best of thirty seconds and a forty-one second improvement from last season's OAC championships.
Continuing his breakout season by finishing in 69th with a personal best time of 27:21 was junior
Keegan Kidd, the Quakers fourth man. Competing in his final OAC meet and running by far his best time was senior
Bryson Robinette, who took 77th with a time of 27:26.
In sixth for the Quakers was freshman Samuel Quackenbush, who ran a personal best of 27:57, continuing what has been a sensational freshman campaign. Alongside him as one of the best freshmen Wilmington has seen in recent years was
Jake Vance, who ran 28:45, just a touch off of his personal best, good for 120th place.
All told, it was a solid performance from an extremely young Quakers team that had many runners competing in a conference championship for the first time.

They will look to build on this run in two weeks at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships, which will conclude the Quakers season barring an unexpected National Championship berth.
