(WILMINGTON, Oh.) - Manchester University swept the Quakers in the last match of the Quaker Classic, 3-0.

The Manchester Spartans were able to mount an early offensive, taking a 12-6 lead over the Quakers. Wilmington was able to cut the lead to only three, down 14-11, until Manchester went on another run. The Spartans' attack stayed strong and won the first set 25-17.
The Quakers were able to take an early 9-4 lead with several kills from Emelia Mohler. Manchester rallied to score 8 unanswered, taking a 12-9 lead over Wilmington. The Quakers drew with one, down 15-14, but the Spartans outscored Wilmington 10-3 to finish the set 25-17.
In the final set, the Quakers jumped ahead 8-1. A kill by Brinlee Preston sparked a 6-0 run for Wilmington, paired with stellar defense that included blocks by Aubrey Clark and Emelia Mohler. Jarika Hart also had a service ace during this run. Wilmington was unable to hold the Spartans' offense as Manchester went on an outburst, taking a 16-12 lead. The Quakers were able to tie it 20-20 following a service ace from Emma Specht. The Spartans led 24-21 until Wilmington scored two straight, to trail by one.
On match point, Manchester's Adelyn Figley secured the winning kill, winning 25-23 to close out the sweep for the Spartans. Â
