(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Senior forward Alex Wilson was selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Offensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week earlier this afternoon for the third time in her career.
Wilson was pivotal in Wilmington's two victories last week, helping lead the Quakers to a three-game win streak. The senior scored second in Wilmington's 3-1 victory over Franklin College on Wednesday and scored the game-winning goal on Senior Night to defeat DePauw University 1-0. Wilson played in 149 minutes and took 13 shots with eight on target in the two matches.
The senior is tied for first in goals for Wilmington with five and for assists with one this season. Wilson leads the team in game-winning goals with four. She was previously selected as the OAC Offensive Player of the Week twice during her freshman season.
Wilmington will host Heidelberg in their OAC opener on Saturday, October 4, at 2:00 pm.
