Burke and Bucur Headline Quakers All-OAC Honorees

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their 2025 Men's Soccer All-OAC teams and Special Award winners this morning and the Quakers had four players recognized along with Head Coach Cory Bucur. Their four players honored ties their total from last season after a year in which the Quakers finished with an overall record of 13-5-3 and made it to the OAC Tournament semifinals.

Cory Bucur was named the OAC Coach of the Year for the first time in his Quakers career, with his 13 wins being the most during his four-year tenure at Wilmington College. He is the first one to be named OAC Coach of the Year since Alex Van der Sluijs earned the honor in 2021. Bucur's overall record at Wilmington is now 40-28-11, as he overtakes Van der Sluijs as the second winningest coach in program history.

Parker Burke did it all for the Quakers this season, scoring 14 goals and dishing out four assists for 32 points, earning First Team All-OAC and Forward of the Year honors. He played in 20 games and started 19. His 14 goals and 32 points were both second in the OAC. He led the conference with 78 shots, was second with 37 shots on goal, and tied for the conference lead with four game-winning goals.

He is the first Forward of the Year for the Quakers since Elorm Dogbey during the COVID 2020 season. After just two seasons in the green and white, Burke sits 3rd on the career record list for goals scored in the NCAA Era (Since 1991) with 36. He is just off the Top-10 list of all-time Quakers goal scorers, regardless of time period. His 81 points are 6th in the NCAA Era career leaders.

After a stellar freshman campaign, Brayden Spencer was named Third Team All-OAC as a defensive midfielder for the Quakers, as he started all 21 games. Not only did he play solid defensively, but he also helped out the Quakers on offense as well with four goals and dished out two assists. He scored the Quakers lone goal in their OAC Semifinals loss at Otterbein University. Spencer was one of the Quakers target men off set pieces, with most of his goals coming on headers off corners.

Junior Jace Houck was the Quakers architect in the midfield this season, starting all 21 games and being named Third Team All-OAC for the second straight season. He had two goals and one assist and was crucial in setting up several scoring plays for Wilmington this season.

Senior Connor Neidemire was named Third Team All-OAC, earning his first All-Conference honor. He was the Quakers rock on the backline defensively, starting 20 games and serving as the team captain. Not only did he lead a defense that allowed the third fewest goals in the conference with 30, but he was the Quakers primary throw in man. He would essentially make a throw in a dangerous play for Wilmington, and had one assist on the season off a throw in.
