Wilmington Shutout by Ohio Northern on the Road

(ADA, Ohio) - Ohio Northern shuts out the Quakers 1-0 with an early goal in the first half.

The Polar Bears got on the board in the fourth minute of the first half to lead 1-0. Parker Burke had a chance in the eighth minute, but his shot was off target. Ohio Northern's attack remained in control of the first half as the Quakers were stifled offensively. The next chance for Wilmington came in the 19th minute from Kaden Young, but his attempt missed the mark. Judah Hanks was forced into action again in the 20th minute, making a save and forcing a corner kick.

Wilmington's best chance came in the 42nd minute from Alen Salihbegovic, whose shot was saved by the Polar Bears' keeper. The Quakers only had four shots and one on target in the first half.

Trailing 1-0, Wilmington attempted to play aggressively in the second half. The Quakers drew two corner kicks within six minutes of each other and pestered the Ohio Northern defense. Kaden Young's 61st-minute chance was the only shot on goal in the second half for Wilmington. Jace Houck and Eli Eyrich each took shots off target during the Quakers' attack. The Polar Bears remained in control and countered offensively, but their possession was too much to match. Ohio Northern's fourth-minute goal was too much for Wilmington to overcome, falling 1-0.
