(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – This afternoon, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their Athletes of the Week, and junior midfielder
Jada Pohlen was named the Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the first time in her career. The Quakers won both their games last week over Earlham College (3-1) and Oberlin College (6-1) and Pohlen was a big reason why.
She scored her first goal of the season against Earlham on a header off a pass from freshman
Gracie King and assisted on a goal to
Jordan Snyder in the Quakers victory. She played all 90 minutes in the game, took eight shots, and put four of them on goal.
In their game at Oberlin, Pohlen assisted on goals to
Alex Wilson and
Gabby Perkins while scoring a goal of her own in the 61st minute of the contest. She took four shots against the Yeowomen and had two shots on goal.
Her seven points last week were her first points of the season. She is second on the team in points, is tied for the team lead with three assists, and is tied for second on the team with two goals. The Quakers next game is Wednesday night in Williams Stadium against the Mount St. Joseph University Lions at 7:00 P.M.
